Hello new world!

Welcome to my new blog hosted on WordPress.com… The transition went pretty smoothly – everyone’s comments should be here, and the new blog has some nifty features.

Still to come: updating the blog look and feel to something that is more “me”. Right now I’m using a standard WordPress template. Not sure when I’ll get the time to do this work, though, so bear with me.

  1. Pfft. MovableType, ftw. We barely get any comment spam over on our blogospat since we have a plugin dealie that sets a unique key on each visit to each post and that key must be read before the user can even try to get past the spam blockers. That plugin alone has stopped 99.999% of spam. http://www.unsanity.org/archives/blogs/comment_spam_again_missing_mtbl.php (I used what was in the very first comment to that post).

Also, this makes it much harder for me to organize your blog RSS feed with the rest. Do I put it in with MSBlogs or make a new Adobe Blogs folder? I ask about the former because you argue with scbarnes so often and he’s in the MSBlogs folder.

I really hope this WP doodad remembers my info.

  2. I have no problem with MovableType. Its a fine system. But on the Adobe blog I wasn’t an admin and could do very little to correct the things that frustrated me.

As for the scbarnes thing, well, you got me. I’ll try to do a better job at taking the high road.
